About me:
I am Magada Haily Miriam, a women birder/guide and member of the Uganda Women birds club, licensed Tour guide/ Tour operator by the Uganda Tourism Board

My interest in birds as a woman began when I joined the Girl Guides Club and spent holiday weekends in bush camps learning to survive in the outdoors with little resources. Due to the scarcity of entertainment in the bushes, I turned to bird watching. I graduated from high school with training in various levels of wildlife and ornithology and have worked for the Uganda Wildlife Authority as a Warden Tourism. I create and lead birding and wildlife tours in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania for novice and experienced birders.
Beyond birdwatching, my mission is to assist in conserving and protecting birds, their habitats, and populations through community awareness, education, research, and advocacy for conservation.

Magada is professional and responsible. She is highly knowledgeable about the animals and culture. Everywhere we went in Uganda, the people knew and respected Magada. We were really impressed by the quality of the lodgings that she included in our tour. She was concerned about our safety every step of the way. There were four of us, and she did everything possible to accommodate the needs of our whole group. We did everything from bird watching to observing drums being made, and from gorilla watching to watching women ironing with coal fired irons and then sewing the fabric. Miriam is very professional and delightfully enthusiastic in our getting set up for a Safari. All matters were taken care of. We ate at a great restaurant on our long drive up to our destination. The motel room was beautiful and the banquet meals were all included. Our tour seeing all the variety of African Wildlife was one adventure after another. It was a trip of a life-time. I also am thankful for her enabeling me to acquire a lovely tailored & multi-pieced jacket. Thank you Miriam & family!!! I highly recommend your business.
