This trip was the first one for us to Uruguay. We wanted to make a stay with a local company and we chose Florencia's agency ''Birding with me''. As we came from far away (Canada), we went on a 15 days trip. We loved everything. Florencia is a very special person and she is very professional and dedicated person.

Florencia is a true professional birding guide. She knows the species and the area she operates out of which is Uruguay. I took a one day trip with her from Montevideo and she had a nice route planned which took in a variety of birding habitats. As a result of this we saw both a high number of birds but also some specific birds I was looking for. She is excellent at conversing in English and served up a nice lunch with local food. I had a great day with her and would highly recommend her as a guide for anyone looking for a birding guide be they a serious birder with specific species in mind or a person (s) with simply a general interest in birds. My husband and I had the opportunity to meet Florencia in Montevideo for a fun and productive day of birding, seeing over 70 species in about 8 hours. Florencia was very easy to communicate with to set up our day. She was very professional and ethical in her birding practices. We traveled to several habitats, and even got a few unexpected birds along the way. My husband, a non birder, can not stop talking about what a great day we had. I would highly recommend Florencia ...just wish we had had more time with her to soak up her knowledge.

I did with my girlfriend a two weeks tour with Florencia all around Uruguay in 2020. All was well organized and we really enjoyed the company of Florencia and of the different local guides we met with her along the road. Florencia is a really good guide and birder, she knows all the calls of the birds of her country. She also has a network of local people that give her the last information about what can be seen in different interesting spots. The accommodations were a mix of very nice rural and retired places with homemade food, classic hotel convenient for birding and even two nights in the house of local birders. In total, we saw almost 250 species of birds (not bad for a country not well-known for birding) and we were very happy about our trip.

Myself and three friends from the UK hired Florencia to be our guide for a day, during a port call whilst on a birding trip on an Antarctica cruise. She was excellent, all four of us were impressed by her as a birder and her knowledge of the best sites around Montivideo. We had a really memorable day's birding. Along with three birder friends I had a clear day free in Montevideo whilst on a NCL Antarctica cruise. We opted for a day’s birding with Birding With Me and we were hugely impressed with the tour Florencia took us on. Florencia is clearly expert in all things ornithological and knows the best sites within a day’s reach of Montevideo (and beyond of course). She is also extremely well organised and knows how to pace a day’s birding so that the ground is covered efficiently and comfortably. Florencia got us onto some tricky species such as rufous-sided crake, plumbeous rail, spotted nothura, snowy-crowned tern, green-barred woodpecker, hepatic tanager, spix’s spinetail and chestnut seedeater as well as finding us memorable sightings of several magnificent frigate birds. Florencia speaks perfect English and is also excellent company; we wholeheartedly recommend her as your bird guide in Uruguay!

I have had the pleasure of traveling with Florencia on 3 separate occasions. My 2 Uruguay trips were each about 2 weeks long and we visited a wide variety of locations in Uruguay. Florencia's knowledge of the birds is exceptional and she also demonstrates her love for her country by providing interesting information about the various regions we visited. She did a tremendous amount of preparation before each trip, arranging for excellent accommodations and, when necessary, coordinating with local birders. Every aspect of the trips was very well planned from pickup to drop off at the airport. She listened carefully to what I was looking for as a bird photographer and helped me get some wonderful photos. We stayed in a wide variety of accommodations and met some amazing people along the way. Uruguay is a beautiful country with good infrastructure so getting around is very easy. Florencia is very professional and trustworthy. I have traveled throughout the world, with a wide variety of companies and guides and would rank Birding with Me and Florencia as the very best. When you travel with Florencia you can be sure that every detail of the trip will go smoothly.
